Please stay at home

  • Only go outside for food, health reasons or work (but only if you cannot work from home)
  • Stay 2 metres (6ft) away from other people
  • Wash your hands as soon as you get home

You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.

Stay at home. Protect the NHS. Save lives.

PARENT NOTICE

Following the Government’s statement last night. We have been assessing all our possibilities of remaining operational through these uncertain times.

Unfortunately, we have had to make the decision to temporarily close nursery from the end of play today.

This was a difficult decision to make as we did want to support Critical Workers, during these uncertain times.

However, it was the overall need to protect my staff, who also have young families at home and indeed all our children’s safety, that made us come to this decision.

We have decided to follow the Government advice “the safest
place, where possible, is to stay at home.”

We hope you understand our heart breaking decision and hope to see you and your little ones once this current situation is lifted.

We wish you well! Stay Safe!!

Parent Notice

Reminder that we are open today for children of ‘Key Worker’ parents only!!! You will have been notified, if you are a key worker, by one of our team. However, it is advised that if you can find alternative child care I.e. parent working from home or off work then to still avoid bringing your child into nursery. The advice is this is the safest option for your child.
Please keep children at home where possible!!!!
Although we are open to enable front line staff to continue work in their fight against this virus, social distancing is still heavily advised!!
We need to keep everyone safe!!!

Thank you for your support during this time. We really appreciate it.

21st March 2020

Can I please just remind everyone that the nursery places, as from Monday 23 March, are meant to be if you have NO OTHER CHOICE.

The whole point is to drastically reduce social movement and contact to try and control the outbreak of covid19 as much as possible.

If your child can be at home, that is the safest place. The care provided by us whilst this epidemic is on, is EMERGENCY CARE. It is not education, it is not to have time to go to the hairdressers, it is not to be used because your child is bored at home.

It is critical, emergency care to allow essential workers the ability to continue to help the country.

When we go to work to look after your children, we are putting ourselves at risk.

The only way to help, is to take this seriously. Or the next step will be to have a legally enforced lockdown, because people didn’t self isolate.

I can assure you, we would have every child in nursery if we could, we will miss you all so much, but the more children in each day, the higher risk of covid19 spreading. We need our amazing staff healthy to continue to stay open.

There are a huge number of nurseries that closed completely yesterday, and those of us remaining open are doing all we can with the local authority to support everybody, using the UK Government guidelines.

Their advice is a final decision on which children are eligible for nursery place during these uncertain times.

It is very real and very serious, and please only use us if no other option.

I mean it with the best intentions and I hope you understand.

20th March 2020

We have been working hard today to clarify which children are eligible for key worker or vulnerability status, under the UK Guidelines. This has involved liaising back and forth with various departments. We have telephoned those that are eligible and we will remain open for those children on a term time basis during these uncertain times. If you have not received that telephone call, unfortunately your child will not be able to access nursery as from end of play today, until further notice. We realise this may cause inconvenience to a lot of parents but unfortunately our hands are tied and ultimately this is a Government decision. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page or Website for any updates as things are changing daily. Thanks again for your cooperation.
